The Speaker that looks fishy in the menace of NDA

Speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly, Monday
Igbuya, has told President Muhammadu Buhari to listen
to the agitations of the Niger Delta militants and grant
the desire of the youths for permanent peace to reign
in the volatile region.
He said the agitation of the youths was orchestrated by
the under development of the region, noting that the
harsh economic realities, environmental degradation,
lack of infrastructure and inadequate benefit from the
resources in the region were the main causes of the
uprising among the Niger Delta youths.
And for permanent peace to return, the Speaker said
President Buhari should stoop down and address the
issues raised by the youths rather than employing
guerilla tactics to the issues on ground.
Igbuya, who spoke in Sapele, Delta State, said, “Mr.
President should dialogue with the people. What are
the problems? He should listen to the people and find
solution to their demands because power belongs to the
people.”
According to him, “In the interest of peace, harmony
and the unity of Nigeria, Buhari should review the
ownership structure of oil wells in the country. How
many South- South people are owners of oil wells in
the country? He should allow 65 per cent ownership
by the people of the Niger Delta region.”
Igbuya, who was among the South South and South
East Speakers who called on the federal government to
review the ownership of oil wells in the country, also
faulted the grazing bill, saying the region has no place
for grazing reserves.
“The resolutions of the South-South and South-East
lawmakers are quite clear. We asked our
representatives in the National Assembly to oppose the
grazing reserve bill”, Igbuya said.
